Cooperations

    Shiraki Lab.

Our laboratory intends to study ultrafast real-time dynamics of electrons (plasmons) and coherent phonons in photo-excited condensed matters, such as semiconductors, ferroelectrics, and metals. In particular, we are studying structural dynamics of DVD materials (Ge-Sb-Te systems) and nanotube-protein complex systems.

In order to obtain laser pulses in a wide range from near-ultraviolet to near-infrared, we have started to use a photonic crystal fiber.
