Welcome to Kano Lab

At Kano Lab, we are working toward the development of novel technologies for live cell and in vivo imaging using "molecular fingerprints" which are generated through interactions between light and molecules, in particular, a nonlinear optical effect called Raman scattering. One of our goals is to apply these technologies to clinical pathology and disease diagnosis.

Our recent study in nonlinear optical retinal imaging, conducted in collaboration with Aichi Cancer Center, University of Tsukuba Department of Ophthalmology, University of Tsukuba Graduate School of Life & Environmental Sciences, University of Limoges, France, and other related institutes, has been accepted for publication in Scientific Report.
